Empowering Parents Network is actively seeking to partner with nonprofit organizations to bring our services directly to the families they serve. We recognize that many nonprofits are deeply connected to their communities but may not always have the capacity to provide structured special education support.

To bridge this gap, EPN offers a partnership model where we provide parent education, training, and guided support, while also assisting organizations in securing funding. EPN has a grant writer on retainer who will write and manage grant proposals on behalf of partner nonprofits to fund these services.

This approach allows organizations to expand their impact while ensuring families receive clear, informed, and professionally guided support in navigating special education.

Recent research continues to highlight a powerful truth: informed and confident parent involvement significantly improves outcomes for children with disabilities. Studies show that when parents understand special education processes and actively engage with schools, children demonstrate stronger academic progress, improved behavior, and better social skills.

Importantly, it’s not just about being involved. It’s about how parents are involved. Research emphasizes that quality of engagement (asking informed questions, understanding data, collaborating with educators) is more impactful than simply attending meetings.

At the same time, studies also show that parent support systems, both professional and peer, play a key role in reducing stress and increasing confidence.

Empowering Parents Network remains focused on helping parents better understand special education processes and engage confidently with schools. Through our growing platform, we aim to provide accessible information, thoughtful guidance, and meaningful connection for families across the U.S.
